'Forget Me Not' holds a piece of my heart, dedicated to my beloved grandmother, Lu Lu, a true inspiration in my life. Lu Lu was an amazing woman - a symbol of strength, resilience, and love. From her days in the land army during the war and making her wedding dress out of a German parachute silk, to crafting the most exquisite bobbin lace, to her making me the most delicious ham and mustard sandwiches, her legacy lives on in the memories I cherish.
'Forget Me Not' is my musical tribute to her, a funky ode that I hope captures even a fraction of her spirit. Recorded live at the legendary Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, the energy in the room was electric.
